Warranty & Return Policy
Gadsden Engineering provides warranty and return information for equipment, parts, manuals, documents, and related support items. Warranty and return terms may vary depending on the item purchased, the condition of the item, and the written terms provided at the time of sale.
For questions about a specific machine, part, manual, or document, contact Gadsden Engineering before purchasing or requesting a return.
Equipment Warranty & Return Policy
Gadsden Engineering sells used and refurbished fabrication equipment, including Amada press brakes, turret punch presses, shears, spot welders, Togu grinders, automation systems, controls, and related machinery.
Equipment warranty terms are based on the written sale agreement, invoice, quote, or warranty document provided with the equipment. Equipment may be sold with a Start-up Warranty, a 30-Day Warranty, or as-is terms depending on the sale.
Start-up Warranty
When a Start-up Warranty applies, Gadsden Engineering guarantees the equipment to be fully operational upon installation and start-up.
Gadsden Engineering must be notified of any defect within 24 hours of equipment installation.
30-Day Warranty
When a 30-Day Warranty applies, Gadsden Engineering guarantees the equipment to be fully operational upon installation, start-up, and for 30 days following installation.
The 30-Day Warranty applies only when the defect is related to machine operation, the equipment has been used according to manufacturer guidelines, and no unauthorized person or service company has attempted repairs.
Gadsden Engineering must be notified of the defect within the 30-day warranty period.
Rigging & Transportation
The customer is responsible for rigging and transportation of equipment unless otherwise stated in writing.
Gadsden Engineering recommends using qualified riggers and proper transportation insurance. The customer should document and photograph equipment before unloading and after the machine is placed.
Warranty coverage may be void if equipment is damaged during transportation, unloading, rigging, relocation, or placement.
Warranty Service Trips
Travel time associated with a warranty service call is billed at Gadsden Engineering’s listed service rates. Travel expenses for warranty service calls are billed at actual cost.
Time spent at the job site for an approved warranty repair is provided at no charge. Non-warranty work performed during the same trip, delays caused by lack of access to the equipment, or service unrelated to the warranty issue may be billed at standard service rates.
Parts Used During Equipment Warranty Repairs
Parts and materials supplied in connection with an approved equipment warranty repair will be provided at no charge.
Additional parts or materials that are not required for the approved warranty repair may be quoted and billed separately according to Gadsden Engineering pricing and terms.
Customer Assistance
If needed, the customer or customer’s representative may be required to assist Gadsden Engineering at no cost. This may include operating remote controls, pilot devices, machine controls, or other equipment-related functions as needed during troubleshooting or service.
Warranty Exclusions
Equipment warranty coverage does not include damage or repair needs caused by:
Acts of God.
Negligence, misuse, or improper operation by the owner, employee, officer, agent, or representative.
Third-party repair, modification, or changes made by unauthorized service personnel, including machine service companies not contracted by Gadsden Engineering.
Damage caused by factors other than normal machine operation, including fire, collision, relocation, rigging, transportation, or improper handling.
Failure to perform required periodic maintenance.
Improper installation, including incorrect power, leveling, assembly, air supply, hydraulic requirements, tooling setup, or related installation issues.
Limitation of Liability
Gadsden Engineering is not liable for damage, injury, costs, loss of production, downtime, lost profits, or any other type of loss except where such loss is directly and solely caused by the negligence of a Gadsden Engineering employee or agent.
Gadsden Engineering is not liable for consequential or incidental damages of any type arising from equipment, service, parts, documents, or support provided.
Equipment Returns
Used and refurbished equipment purchases are generally final unless otherwise stated in writing.
Any equipment return, exchange, right-to-return, or refund must be approved in writing by Gadsden Engineering before the equipment is moved, disassembled, returned, or transported.
Return eligibility may depend on the equipment sale terms, condition of the machine, inspection results, warranty terms, and whether the equipment has been installed, powered, modified, damaged, relocated, or serviced by a third party.
The customer is responsible for return rigging, transportation, insurance, packaging, loading, unloading, and any related costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Parts, Manuals & Documents Return Policy
Gadsden Engineering sells parts, manuals, documents, service information, and related support items for Amada equipment and other fabrication machinery.
Because many items are used, refurbished, hard-to-find, special order, machine-specific, or digital/document-based, return eligibility varies by item.
Parts Returns
Parts may be eligible for return only with prior approval from Gadsden Engineering.
To request a parts return, contact Gadsden Engineering with the order number, part number, machine model, serial number, reason for return, and clear photos of the part and packaging.
Returned parts must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, undamaged, and in the same condition as received unless the return is related to a verified issue with the part.
Installed electrical parts, control boards, drives, displays, sensors, relays, hydraulic components, and other machine-specific components may not be returnable once installed, powered, connected, modified, or tested in a machine.
Used, Refurbished & Hard-to-Find Parts
Used, refurbished, obsolete, surplus, and hard-to-find parts may be sold as final sale unless otherwise stated in writing.
Condition, testing status, compatibility, and warranty terms should be confirmed before purchase. If you are unsure whether a part is correct for your machine, contact Gadsden Engineering before ordering.
Manuals, Documents & Digital Items
Manuals, service documents, parts lists, wiring information, digital downloads, emailed documents, and other document-based products are generally non-returnable and non-refundable once delivered, downloaded, emailed, or accessed.
If the wrong document is supplied due to an error by Gadsden Engineering, contact us so we can review the issue and determine the appropriate correction.
Return Shipping
Return shipping must be approved before any item is sent back.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for return shipping, packaging, insurance, and any damage that occurs during return shipment.
Gadsden Engineering is not responsible for items returned without approval, improperly packaged items, missing components, or damage during return shipment.
Restocking Fees
Approved parts returns may be subject to a restocking fee depending on the item, condition, order type, and reason for return.
Special-order items, electrical components, used parts, refurbished parts, obsolete parts, manuals, documents, and digital items may not be eligible for return or may be subject to additional conditions.
